PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and oversee comprehensive BIM models for fire protection systems utilizing Autodesk Revit and various BIM applications.
  • Ensure that models adhere to established project guidelines, specifications, and local fire safety codes.
  • Regularly update and modify BIM models as project needs change.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders to seamlessly integrate fire protection systems into the overall project framework.
  • Work in conjunction with MEP coordinators and BIM managers to address any model conflicts or inconsistencies.
  • Engage in coordination meetings to address and resolve challenges related to fire protection BIM models.
  • Conduct thorough quality assessments on BIM models to guarantee precision and completeness.
  • Utilize clash detection tools to pinpoint and rectify conflicts within fire protection systems and among other disciplines.
  • Ensure adherence to pertinent fire safety standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and sustain comprehensive documentation and reports associated with fire protection BIM models.
  • Generate precise and detailed drawings and schedules from the BIM models for inclusion in project documentation and construction processes.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in fire protection BIM modeling within the GCC region.
  • Expertise in BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
  • In-depth knowledge of fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and suppression systems.
  • Experience in clash detection and resolution within a BIM context.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines.
