Job Overview

The Fire Protection Systems Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the technical and managerial aspects of assigned projects related to fire safety and prevention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Plan, schedule, and conduct project activities while ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Team Management: Supervise Technical Supervisors and Technicians to obtain accurate site progress updates on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Material Management: Receive and verify all equipment, materials, and tools against orders to ensure accuracy and condition.
  • Preparation: Ensure all necessary materials are procured and ready for daily operations in advance to facilitate efficient work commencement.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Ensure the on-site team possesses the necessary expertise for installation, testing, and commissioning, providing assistance as needed.
  • Problem Solving: Anticipate potential installation issues and coordinate with on-site personnel to implement solutions.
  • Attendance Tracking: Maintain accurate records of employee attendance on-site.
  • Status Reporting: Complete all assigned tasks and report their status during weekly meetings as required.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that the quality of installed works meets technical specifications and high workmanship standards.
  • Order Variations: Track site order variations and coordinate with relevant personnel for timely material orders and deliveries.
  • Issue Resolution: Address all challenges faced by the site team during installation, testing, and commissioning phases, escalating unresolved issues to management as necessary.
  • Documentation Approval: Approve As-Built drawings, ensuring they are useful for commissioning, maintenance, and client handover.
  • Meeting Participation: Attend all required internal and external meetings as requested by clients or management.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to QSHE regulations and company policies.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Communications Engineering (minimum four years).
  • Three years of experience in project management and related activities.
  • In-depth knowledge of installation, testing, and commissioning of Fire Alarm, Fire Fighting, and Security Systems.
  • Civil Defense and/or Police License is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and/or Arabic.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.
  • UAE Driving License is mandatory.
