About the Role

As a Legal Support Specialist at CHALHOUB Group, you will play a crucial role in assisting our legal team with various responsibilities that ensure compliance and support our corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough legal research utilizing online databases, libraries, and other resources, including collaboration with external legal firms.
  • Ideal candidates will possess a background in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), venture capital (VC) transactions, and general corporate legal issues.
  • Prepare and assess legal documents, including service agreements, distribution contracts, retail agreements, board and shareholder resolutions, letters, articles of association, and other foundational documents, such as incorporation and share transfers.
  • Facilitate the submission of constitutional documents to the appropriate authorities for final execution as necessary.
  • Ensure rigorous due diligence and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Review and edit legal documents for precision and thoroughness.
  • Uphold ethical and professional standards in all legal practices.
  • Organize and manage files, records, and evidence pertinent to legal matters.
  • Utilize and update our documentation systems across various software platforms and drives.
  • Coordinate the dispatch of documents for signatures, whether digital or traditional.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with lawyers, clients, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with administrative tasks that support the Legal Managers.
  • Monitor deadlines and maintain calendars as required.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in law.
  • Experience in roles such as junior legal counsel, paralegal, intern, or legal assistant.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal databases.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
