Job Title: Commis I

Accor is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commis I to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Prepare and maintain accurate inventory lists for your station, ensuring that all ingredients and supplies are properly stocked and accounted for.
  • Team Support: Demonstrate the ability to fill in for other chefs when needed, showcasing your knowledge and skills to ensure seamless service.
  • Recipe Compliance: Adhere to standard recipes and plating guides at all times, maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Market List and Quality Control: Provide the Executive Sous Chef with a daily market list, ensuring that all goods received meet quality and quantity standards.
  • Recipe Development: Collaborate with the Executive Sous Chef to develop new recipes and costing, driving innovation and efficiency in our kitchen operations.
  • Food Promotions and Events: Assist in planning and executing special food promotions, events, and activities, showcasing your creativity and culinary expertise.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Foster strong relationships with Outlet Supervisors, ensuring that all food items are properly explained and communicated to the team.
  • Food Waste Reduction: Implement strategies to minimize food waste, maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve systems and procedures, driving efficiency and service excellence in our kitchen operations.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to operational control requirements.
  • Communication and Feedback: Engage in open and transparent communication, providing feedback and suggestions to improve our kitchen operations.
  • Product Knowledge and Quality Control: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of our hotel facilities and products, ensuring that all food items meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Shift End Procedures: Conduct thorough checks at the end of each shift, ensuring that all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Share your skills and knowledge with colleagues, driving a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
