Job DescriptionSmit Lamnalco's Middle East office is seeking a Marine Safety Officer to be based in United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with the Company's Integrated Management System (SLIMS), HSE standards, and related legislation at assigned contracts.
This role involves conducting internal audits based on ISM, ISPS, ISO 9001/14001, and ISO45001 standards. Responsibilities also include executing corrective or preventative actions on contract level, assisting in SLIMS familiarization and shore training, monitoring crew training programmes, and delivering HSE-related training onboard vessels.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience with a towage or offshore services provider, hold a valid STCW Certificate of Competency as a Deck Officer, and possess Nebosh Certificate. Additionally, they should have experience with ISO 9001/14001 standards and behavioural safety programmes.
