Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at One&Only Resorts. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards and presented in an exceptional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the kitchen staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and implement menus that showcase the freshest ingredients and innovative culinary techniques.
- Collaborate with the Chef De Cuisine to ensure that all culinary standards are met and exceeded.
- Manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies and equipment as needed.
- Ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Reporting
The successful candidate will report directly to the Chef De Cuisine and will be responsible for mentoring and developing the skills of junior kitchen staff.
Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years' experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end hospitality industry or five-star hotel.
- Proven track record of success in menu development, kitchen operations, and staff management.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and guests.
