Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Support Specialist to join our team at DAEW in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our IT systems, providing technical support to staff, and ensuring the seamless operation of technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and support to staff for hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions.
  2. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, utilizing strong problem-solving abilities and technical expertise.
  3. System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on IT equipment and systems, including updates, backups, and patch management, to ensure optimal performance and security.
  4. Network Administration: Assist in the configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
  5. User Training: Educate employees on the proper use of IT resources and best practices, offering training sessions as needed to enhance technical proficiency.
  6. Asset Management: Track and manage IT assets, including hardware inventory, software licenses, and peripheral devices, to ensure accurate records and efficient operations.
  7. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of technical issues, resolutions, and system configurations for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  8. Security Compliance: Implement and adhere to IT security policies to protect data and systems from threats and vulnerabilities, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information.
  9. Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members and departments to support IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations, to ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or in a similar technical support role, with a strong understanding of IT systems and operations.
  2. Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, with a focus on technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
  3. Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, or Cisco CCNA, are advantageous, demonstrating technical proficiency and industry recognition.
  4. Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and exceeding expectations.
  5. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Windows and Mac OS environments, network management, and common IT support tools, with a strong understanding of technical concepts and industry trends.
  6. Language: Proficiency in English is required, with knowledge of Arabic being a plus, to ensure effective communication and collaboration with staff and stakeholders.
