OBJECTIVES:

  • Oversee all facets of the establishment including food and beverage costs, labor expenses, overall standards, maintenance, sales, marketing strategies, and staff training.
  • Aim for excellence in the venue to guarantee guests receive an unparalleled experience.
  • Function effectively in a dynamic environment demonstrating outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a pristine, fully operational venue at all times.
  • Provide exceptional service to our guests.

DUTIES:

  • Manage the venue in alignment with established budgets and the venue's business strategy.
  • Formulate accurate long-term and short-term financial goals that align with the company's mission.
  • Guarantee the venue operates smoothly on a daily basis; promptly communicate maintenance issues to the Facilities Manager and ensure follow-up until resolution.
  • Ensure all departments are adequately staffed and adhere to the labor cost parameters set in the business plan.
  • Ensure all team members receive consistent training on company standards and product knowledge, with regular assessments.
  • Verify that all health and safety documentation and training materials are complete and current.
  • Ensure that all employee records are up to date with training documents, test results, and sign-off sheets.
  • Supervise the recruitment process, leading second interviews and having the final say on hiring decisions for both line staff and management positions.
  • Obtain approval from the Chief Operating Officer before extending offers to new employees. Regularly review par levels and budgets with the Group Operations Manager.
  • Ensure all cash handling, banking, and financial transactions are conducted according to company procedures.
  • Conduct weekly checks on product management controls to ensure batch recipes and waste are accurately monitored and recorded.
  • Complete end-of-probation reviews with department managers and file them with Human Resources.
  • Conduct biannual staff evaluations for all venue employees, submitting appraisal forms to the Operations Manager for review before filing.
  • Post staff schedules by 6 PM on Wednesdays for the upcoming week.
  • Implement and uphold appropriate cleaning schedules within the venue.
  • Monitor food and beverage quality during service hours.
  • Be present for special events or large functions at the venue.
  • Maintain minimal holding stock for food and beverage in line with levels set by the Operations/Finance department.
  • Review weekly variance reports for the venue and take necessary actions when required.
  • Foster strong relationships and maintain effective communication with all departments within Solutions Leisure (cost control, IT, HR, Finance, Purchasing, etc.).
  • Develop and sustain excellent working relationships with suppliers, contractors, and partners associated with the venue.
  • Collaborate closely with General Managers of each Solutions Leisure Group unit.
  • Conduct weekly management meetings with the management team and document minutes in the designated Dropbox folder provided by the Operations Manager.
  • Facilitate monthly staff meetings with the entire venue team.
  • Attend weekly Operations meetings with the Operations Manager, ensuring minutes are saved in the designated Dropbox folder.
  • Participate in any meetings requested by the Solutions Leisure senior management team.
  • Oversee the payroll process by verifying attendance reports, holiday forms, and authorizing payroll before submission to the Operations Manager.
  • Ensure that cash floats for the venue team are balanced and ready for auditing.
  • Consolidate and balance the venue's petty cash.
  • Supervise the security department and the services provided by the contracted security company.
  • Evaluate the venue's performance through guest satisfaction systems and financial reports.
  • Maintain product and service quality standards through ongoing evaluations and addressing complaints.
  • Understand government regulations affecting venue operations, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Report any suspicious packages or parcels to management for immediate assessment and notification to relevant authorities.
  • Act as a positive ambassador for the business and Solutions Leisure Group.
  • Perform any other reasonable requests made by the Directors.
