Job Objective:

Purpose of Job:

The Banquet Supervisor is accountable for the overall management and upkeep of banquet facilities, ensuring that health, safety, and environmental protocols are adhered to within the organization.



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

RESPONSIBILITIES

Health, Safety, and Environmental Management

Conduct routine inspections, safety evaluations, and risk assessments of banquet settings and staff.

Identify potential hazards and assist in the elimination or mitigation of risks.

Support compliance reviews and safety assessments to uphold Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

Maintain accurate logs and documentation related to health and safety.

Engage in incident investigations and root cause analyses.

Foster positive relationships with management, staff, and regulatory bodies.

Facilitate communication between injured personnel, their supervisors, and medical providers to ensure clarity on rights and recovery plans.

Facility Management

Identify issues and coordinate maintenance and repairs of banquet facilities.

Perform routine maintenance tasks as required.

Execute emergency repairs as directed.

Ensure all venues are secured when not in use to prevent unauthorized access.

Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment utilized in banquet services and arrange for necessary repairs or contracted services.

Implement and update the facility refurbishment program in alignment with management guidelines.

Maintain an inventory of tools, supplies, and essential items for daily operations.

Monitor contract services to ensure quality and compliance with standards.

Expand and maintain a preventative maintenance program.

Assist in crisis management as needed.

Ensure projects are completed within designated timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Oversee the performance of outsourced facility service providers.

Fleet Management

Maintain electronic records of fleet operations, including sales, registrations, inspections, and maintenance.

Ensure fleet availability to meet operational demands through effective scheduling and forecasting.

Coordinate fleet operations and staff to provide necessary support.

Manage vehicle registrations, insurance, and documentation for new vehicle induction.

Oversee routine and ad hoc maintenance to ensure compliance with local regulations.

Plan and execute vehicle purchases and replacements efficiently.

Administration

Supervise the administrative and logistical support provided to staff.

Collaborate with internal clients to enhance working relationships and resolve any issues.

Define support service requirements and develop monitoring mechanisms to ensure timely delivery of services.
