Role Overview
As a Lead Agile Transformation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the agility of our IT operations at Emirates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the adoption of scaled agile methodologies across all IT departments, ensuring alignment with the strategic vision set forth by the Technology leadership team. Embrace a practical approach to agile implementation.
  • Engage with various IT divisions and business partners to design, initiate, and sustain cross-functional Agile Release Trains (ARTs) that deliver business value on an enterprise scale, fostering autonomy and empowerment.
  • Mentor IT personnel on lean-agile principles, team independence, and servant leadership. Collaborate with the Tech Academy to provide relevant training and work closely with Learning & Talent to align developmental coaching and leadership initiatives with corporate standards.
  • Stay abreast of modern working methodologies within the tech sector. Identify and implement best practices that drive positive results for the organization, in collaboration with IT leadership.
  • Determine essential metrics related to time-to-market, quality, productivity, and employee engagement. Collaborate with teams to establish appropriate metrics at the portfolio, program, and team levels.
  • Foster communities of practice that encourage collaboration among individuals with shared interests in technical or business domains, promoting skill enhancement and knowledge advancement.
  • Ensure effective utilization of program management, collaboration, and agile project management tools. Assist all IT functions in employing agile tools pragmatically to support software development and other IT-related tasks.
  • Promote built-in quality practices within autonomous teams, ensuring that all solution components meet established quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Guide teams in selecting the most suitable delivery methodologies to maximize expected outcomes, including practices such as Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, or a hybrid approach based on the nature of the work.
  • Enhance transparency and alignment across portfolio, program, and team levels within the IT organization by implementing tailored processes and outcome-focused metrics.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential Requirements:

  • A degree in fields such as Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Product Management, Applied Sciences, Business Administration, or Engineering.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Information Technology and/or Agile Coaching; however, candidates with less experience may be considered.
  • Certification as a SAFe 5/6 Program Consultant (SPC).
  • Experience in Information Technology across various disciplines, including Program and Delivery Management, Technical Product Management, Architecture and Design, and Software Development.
  • A solid understanding of IT disciplines such as IT Portfolio Management, Program and Delivery Management, Technical Product Management, Architecture and Design, Software Development, DevOps and Automation, and End-to-End Quality Assurance.
