Job Overview

The Lead Agile Facilitator will oversee a collaborative, cross-functional Agile development team by employing the principles and methodologies of the Scrum Framework. Embracing a servant leadership approach, the Lead Agile Facilitator will enhance the execution of Scrum initiatives by identifying and eliminating obstacles to project success. The ideal candidate for this position should demonstrate a high level of independence and be capable of effectively guiding the necessary Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, across a spectrum of project complexities with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Project Sponsors and key stakeholders to ensure clear visibility into delivery progress, challenges, and risks.
  • Represent the team in broader planning and coordination sessions (e.g., Scrum of Scrums).
  • Independently guide the Scrum team to enhance collaboration and self-management, fostering positive interactions both within the team and with external stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship to Junior Scrum Masters and occasionally act as an Agile Coach for teams of varying complexity.
  • Facilitate the team in utilizing Agile planning and development tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
  • Actively engage in internal communities of practice to refine skills and better support the team.
  • Leverage team feedback and performance metrics (e.g., quality, delivery, cadence) to identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with the team for continuous enhancement.
  • Contribute to the evolution and enhancement of Agile practices within the organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Six to eight years of relevant experience.
  • A-CSM or PSM II, and SAFe SM certification or the ability to obtain within the first six months of employment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices, frameworks, and techniques.
  • Proven success in leading mid-sized to large projects with significant complexity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in utilizing Azure DevOps for project management.
  • Experience managing large-scale Agile projects involving multiple Scrum teams and/or release trains.
  • SAFe Scrum Master Certification.
  • Understanding of traditional project management methodologies.
  • Experience in the Financial Services and/or Insurance sectors.
