Job Requirements
Qualifications: Candidate with a background in Mechanical Engineering with 8-10 years of experience, preferably in Battery/Automotive sector

Skills: Strong understanding of product development life cycle and various development gateways

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement comprehensive product development strategies from design to manufacturing
  2. Design and optimize mechanical and packaging concepts for batteries
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and propose improvement solutions
  4. Coordinate with suppliers for development and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
  5. Support in critical vendor development in collaboration with Quality Assurance team
  6. Assist in the assembly of battery prototyping & manufacturing
  7. Manage product bill of material (BOM) & Change Management (ECN/ECR)
  8. Develop and implement DFMEA & DFM strategies
  9. Ensure compliance with safety and test standards of Lithium-Ion traction battery
  10. Optimize costs through Value Analysis/Value Engineering and Benchmarking
  11. Excellent communication and documentation skills
  12. Strong mechanical system experience related to HV battery design is preferred
