Job Description

The Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for evaluating suppliers/vendors, products, and services to ensure cost-effectiveness and high-quality purchases. Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing purchase requisitions in line with approved project specifications while ensuring timely delivery and cost competitiveness.
  • Sourcing new potential vendors and updating the preferred vendor list.
  • Preparing and floating RFQs/inquiries.
  • Conducting techno-commercial comparisons to determine the most suitable source.
  • Liaising with technical departments and project teams to obtain technical recommendations when necessary.

The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of market research and negotiation skills, as well as solid analytical knowledge to ensure profitable offers in compliance with company standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Minimum 8-10 years of work experience in procurement. Experience in the automotive/logistics industry is preferable. A Bachelor's degree in business administration/science/commerce is required, with a CIPS diploma in procurement and supply being advantageous.

Fluency in English is essential, with Arabic being advantageous. Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Oracle/SAP is also required.
