Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor CCTV systems in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with security operating procedures, legislation, and code of practice/ethics.
  • Liaise with police services, providers, and internal departments to ensure appropriate use of the system.
  • Record all events and actions taken in a clear, legible, and accurate written occurrence book, supported by dedicated standards format.
  • Provide an efficient and courteous radio and telephone answering service, dealing with all inquiries.
  • Report equipment failure to the security supervisor to maximize operation of the system.
  • Maintain a secure system for providing data in accordance with regulations set up by the Department of Protective Systems (Dubai Police) and ensure the security of the control room and equipment is always maintained.
  • Support the cluster security manager and assistant security manager by providing monitoring of maintenance agreements to ensure full provision of the system.
  • Be aware of your responsibilities in terms of health and safety, including appropriate health and safety training.
  • Ensure that you approach your duties taking into consideration gentle service.
  • Assist in conducting investigations and prepare accompanying investigation reports for cases which occur within the Hotel.
  • Keep peace and order within the premises of the Hotel in dealing with criminals, trespassers, or difficult characters.
  • Keep the Manager of Security constantly posted on all matters of security interest affecting the Hotel and the Department.
  • Conduct regular and periodical checks and take immediate follow-up action on all systems, including the CCTV system.
  • Attend meetings and in-service training conducted by the Department.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar capacity in a 5-star hotel.
  • Knowledge of operation of the CCTV system.
  • SIRA CCTV Operator License.
  • Computer literate.
  • Must be able to always maintain confidentiality.
  • Understanding and ability to work in a multicultural environment, tactfully and effectively.
