  • Training and Development: Support all learning and development activities, updating and maintaining a comprehensive Training Matrix for your department.
  • Confidentiality and Security: Safeguard stored information, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to hotel policies regarding personal data and sensitive information.
  • Network and Internet Usage: Adhere to hotel policies regarding network, computer, and internet access, avoiding unreasonable or inappropriate use.
  • Sustainability and Safety: Support and adhere to all policies and procedures related to Safe, Sound, and Sustainable practices at Mandarin Oriental.
  • Additional Duties: Carry out additional duties requested by management, contributing to hotel operational activities.
  • Culinary Leadership: Oversee all operational culinary aspects of the designated outlet cuisine and other related outlets, working closely with the Executive Chef to create dishes and suggest promotional events.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure plating guides are up to date and distributed appropriately, responsible for ordering and requesting ingredients on a daily basis.
  • Leadership and Teamwork: Provide leadership, direction, and support to all colleagues at any time, promoting a climate of teamwork and enthusiasm.
  • Roster Management: Support the Executive Chef in preparing a weekly roster, ensuring effective scheduling and resource allocation.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years' experience in the culinary industry.
  • Experience of the Middle East market preferred.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A confident and dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of an organization.
