Job Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join the team at IBIS as a Hotel Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the hotel, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and process all financial requirements, including accounts payable, cashiering, P&L, forecast, and budget on a regular basis.
  • Payroll Management: Responsible for the management of payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees.
  • Accounting and Reconciliation: Responsible for the monthly balance sheet reconciliation and ensuring internal control policies and procedures are complied with.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions, including budgeting and forecasting.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, and/or pursuing CPA qualification.
  • Skills: Intermediate Excel skills, knowledge of accounting software, and experience with payroll processing.
  • Additional Requirements: Previous experience with Superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax, and other legislative requirements.
