About the Role:
This is a key leadership position within FAB Islamic, responsible for overseeing the governance and risk management functions across Global Markets. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in risk management, governance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Governance and Compliance Initiatives: Develop and implement effective governance and compliance frameworks to ensure the business operates within regulatory requirements.
- Operational Risk Management: Collaborate with operational risk partners to design and implement risk management protocols, ensuring a robust risk framework and effective operational risk practices.
- Operational Risk Tasks: Manage operational risk tasks, including risk meetings, risk and control self-assessments (RCSAs), operational risk reviews, and incident management.
- Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Work with compliance partners to ensure a robust compliance framework across Global Markets, including key deliverables such as enterprise-wide risk and assurance (EWRA) reports, compliance monitoring, and training.
- Business Governance: Lead the delivery of governance-related SOPs, SLAs, business and dealing manuals, dealer mandates, and other business-critical documents.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in risk management, governance, and compliance, with experience in a similar leadership position. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
