Job Summary:

The Bellperson - Full Time is a key member of our hotel team, responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences from the moment they arrive. As a Bellperson, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their stay with us.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Welcome and Transfer: Provide a warm welcome to arriving guests, ensuring they feel valued and cared for throughout their stay. Transfer guests to their rooms, luggage, messages, and other items in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Room Orientation: Personalize guests' orientation of their room, providing a professional, friendly, and engaging experience that exceeds their expectations.
  • Lobby and Door Area Maintenance: Maintain the lobby and door area in an impeccable condition, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for our guests.
  • Knowledge and Ambassadorship: Develop knowledge of Vancouver, its attractions, directions, and cultural scene, and maintain a presence in the lobby as an ambassador of our hotel and brand, providing thoughtful touches and exceptional service to our guests.
  • Support and Assistance: Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way, ensuring they have a seamless and enjoyable stay with us.
  • Driving and Transportation: Drive the hotel car to shuttle guests around Vancouver as required, providing a safe and reliable transportation service.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid Class 5 BC Driver's License.
  • Customer Service Experience: Have previous customer-related experience, with excellent communication skills and a professional presentation.
  • Interpersonal and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Be able to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Guest Focus: Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, overtime shifts, and holidays.

Additional Information:

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
