Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Strategic Account Manager to join our team at ABB. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing account plans and statements of Work (SoW) to drive profitable growth and meet both short-term and long-term HUB growth and organizational development targets.


Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:



  • Design and execute strategic business plans that drive profitable growth and meet both short-term and long-term HUB growth and organizational development targets.
  • Develop and implement account plans and statements of Work (SoW) to drive profitable growth.
  • Participate in developing sales strategies by providing insights into the customers' current and long-term plans.
  • Define and propose sales targets for the account, ensuring their achievement through structured follow-up across divisions and countries.
  • Sell products, solutions, and services to customers, focusing on volume mix and profitability targets.
  • Ensure a coordinated sales approach, adding value for both the customer and ABB.
  • Monitor competitors' activities and formulate appropriate response strategies.
  • Provide input on market price developments.
  • Drive the application of standardized marketing and sales processes and tools, such as Salesforce account plans.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • 10 years of experience in Account Management within the energy industry.
  • Experience in portfolio management, business strategy, and market intelligence.
  • Strong understanding of go-to-market strategies and customer experience success.
  • Knowledge of regulation and legal compliance, pricing excellence, and budget and performance targets.
  • Expertise in account management, business development, and sales enablement.
  • Familiarity with general sales practices, solution/application sales engineering, and channel sales.
  • Proficiency in contract and risk management.
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to ABB's core values, safety, and integrity standards.
  • Arabic-speaking language essential for stakeholders' management.
