Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Dining Service Professional to join our team at IIQAFGROUP. As a Restaurant Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and Escort Customers: Welcome guests to their tables and ensure a warm and inviting atmosphere.
  • Present Menu and Provide Information: Offer detailed information about menu items, including ingredients, portion sizes, and potential food allergies.
  • Prepare Tables: Set up linens, silverware, and glasses to create a clean and inviting dining area.
  • Inform Customers about Specials: Share daily specials and menu recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
  • Take Accurate Orders: Use a POS ordering system or memorization to ensure accurate orders are placed.
  • Communicate with Kitchen Staff: Effectively communicate order details to the kitchen team to ensure prompt and accurate delivery.
  • Serve Food and Drinks: Deliver orders to customers in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Check Dishes and Kitchenware: Inspect dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation, reporting any issues to the kitchen staff.
  • Arrange Table Settings: Maintain a tidy dining area and arrange table settings to ensure a pleasant dining experience.
  • Deliver Checks and Collect Payments: Present checks to customers and collect payments in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Carry Dirty Dishes and Kitchenware: Transport dirty dishes and kitchenware to the kitchen for cleaning.
  • Meet with Restaurant Staff: Participate in daily meetings with restaurant staff to review daily specials, menu changes, and service specifications.
  • Follow Health Department Regulations: Adhere to all relevant health department regulations to ensure a safe and healthy dining environment.
Requirements
  • Proven Work Experience: Possess proven work experience as a Dining Service Professional or Restaurant Server.
  • Cash Handling and Ordering System Experience: Have hands-on experience with a cash register and ordering information system.
  • Basic Math Skills: Possess basic math skills to handle cash transactions and orders.
  • Attentiveness and Patience: Demonstrate attentiveness and patience when interacting with customers.
  • Excellent Presentation Skills: Possess excellent presentation skills to create a positive dining experience.
  • Strong Organizational and Multitasking Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational and multitasking skills to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Active Listening and Communication Skills: Possess active listening and effective communication skills to interact with customers and kitchen staff.
  • Team Spirit: Demonstrate a strong team spirit to work collaboratively with restaurant staff.
  • Flexibility to Work in Shifts: Be flexible to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High School Diploma and Food Safety Training: Possess a high school diploma and food safety training (a plus).
