  • Conduct daily briefings with the department on current key activities
  • Direct and manage all group, transient, and catering/banquet sales activities
  • Survey and analyze competition, market trends, customer needs, and comments to stay proactive and adapt to business intelligence
  • Determine the effectiveness of existing programs and develop new strategies
  • Participate in sales presentations, property tours, and customer meetings
  • Evaluate changes in guest needs, the guest mix, and competitive set to recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes
Team Management

As a Sales Director, you will also be responsible for managing a team of sales professionals. This includes:

  • Interviewing, selecting, and recruiting direct reports
  • Identifying and developing team members with potential
  • Conducting performance reviews and managing performance issues
  • Constantly monitoring team members' performance, attitude, and degree of professionalism
  • Working with the Talent & Culture function to ensure appropriate hiring, training, motivating, coaching, counseling, and development of team members
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role with a high-end luxury resort or hotel
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience with tour operators of the European market
  • German or French language skills are a plus
  • Ability to develop and grow business
  • Demonstrated leadership with 2 years of experience managing a team
