Leadership and Strategic HR

The ideal candidate will lead and manage all human resource functions through a business partnering service model to provide relevant and responsive frameworks and procedures to support the effective functioning of the business. This includes identifying, developing, and implementing key HR initiatives and strategies that will substantially enhance the success of our organization.

Performance Management and Development

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a collaborative high-performing organizational culture by building employee and organizational capability. This will involve improving employee abilities through coaching and feedback, establishing employee behavior patterns that align with the organization's mission, values, and goals, and providing leadership and supervision to the People and Culture team.

Recruitment and Onboarding

The ideal candidate will manage full-cycle recruitment, from identifying and addressing talent requirements to onboarding new hires, always looking to further improve the candidate journey.

Training and Development

The successful candidate will work with managers to identify training requirements and design development opportunities to enable all team members to grow in their roles and careers. This will involve managing the Performance Appraisal process and assisting with goal development, as well as collaborating on suggestions for individual training that will enhance growth and development.

Employee Relations and Engagement

The ideal candidate will provide proactive employee relations to employees at all levels of the organization, including acting as a trusted HR advisor to management in order to build and maintain a high-performing and engaged team.

HR Administration and Compliance

The successful candidate will be responsible for compensation management, vacation tracking, administration of benefits, record keeping, and maintenance of team member files and other related documents. This will also involve developing, administering, and revising HR policies and programs based on a solid understanding of employment standards and laws.

Culture and Employee Experience

The ideal candidate will identify and implement opportunities to improve our team member experience. This will involve assessing current programs and proposing innovative ways to improve existing ones, monitoring and tracking team member engagement through our pulse survey platform, and developing ways to increase scores if necessary. The candidate will also plan and organize the company's internal events and social calendar, manage and administer the company's culture/events budget, and maintain and seek to improve HRIS system capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) or equivalent combination of educational and work experience in a relevant area. PHR/SPHR/GPHR is a plus.
  • 8+ years' experience in Human Resource/People & Culture management; knowledge of international development and global people practices are a plus.
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and understanding of the political and ethical issues surrounding Human Resource/People & Culture management on a global stage.
  • Strong knowledge of local labor laws, employment practices, and public relations.
  • Ability to deal appropriately with sensitive issues and maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Experience in managing Human Resource/People & Culture issues in multiple countries is preferred.
  • Experience with Equality, Diversity, & Inclusion strategies and efforts.
  • Previous experience working with PR & Communication agencies, preferred.
  • Excellent negotiating skills relating to recruitment, staff relations, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to work comfortably with Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Excel, and previous experience with an HRIS system.
