Job Summary:

The Stewarding Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the proper function of steward employees in the assigned area, ensuring the quality levels of products and services, sanitation, cleanliness, and hygiene standards are met. This role will also supervise the performance of stewarding staff, assist in controlling ongoing tasks, and maintain effective employee relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the proper function of steward employees in the assigned area.
  • Oversee the quality levels of products and services, sanitation, cleanliness, and hygiene standards.
  • Supervise the performance of stewarding staff assigned to him/her.
  • Assist in controlling ongoing tasks, including:
    • Quality levels of products and services.
    • Sanitation, cleanliness, and hygiene.
    • Cleaning of silver, china, kitchen equipment, and kitchen facilities.
    • Cleanliness of the back of the house area not specially assigned to housekeeping.
    • The work done by contracted outside cleaners in his/her area.
    • Ensuring the necessary supply for all outlets and production areas are clean, correct, and timely mise-en-place is provided.
    • Minimizing cost in breakage, loss, and excessive chemical usage and appropriate staff levels in his/her area.
    • Maintaining effective employee relations.
    • Attending training when and if assigned to.
    • Inspecting the assigned area at the beginning and end of each shift, taking appropriate action if needed.
    • Ensuring the minimum par stock is available.
