Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrument Engineer to join our team at Wood, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality instrumentation and control systems for our oil and gas projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of instrumentation and control systems for our projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement control systems, shutdown PLC hardware and software, and other related systems.
  • Manage risk during the design process, ensuring that technical and commercial requirements are met.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong background in instrumentation and control systems.
  • Knowledge of SPI for the development of I&C engineering deliverables, control systems, shutdown PLC hardware and software design.
  • Extensive design and knowledge of applicable codes and standards (both international and Australian).
  • Excellent analytical, literacy, and numerical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proven experience in client-facing roles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
