Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IC Commissioning Engineer to join our team at Wood. As a key member of our Instrument Commissioning Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and successful completion of instrument pre-commissioning and commissioning work-scope.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Instrument Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Activities: Oversee the safe completion of instrument pre-commissioning and commissioning work-scope, ensuring compliance with project standards, specifications, and procedures.
  • Lead the Instrument Commissioning Team: Supervise and support the project Instrument Commissioning Team, providing guidance and expertise to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide Input into Project Design: Contribute to project instrument system design during the project design phase, ensuring that fire and gas input is incorporated into the design.
  • Develop Commissioning Strategy Documents: Create project instrument commissioning strategy documents, outlining the approach and methodology for instrument commissioning activities.
  • Review and Approve Instrument Commissioning Procedures: Review and approve instrument commissioning procedures, ensuring compliance with project standards, specifications, and procedures.
  • Ensure Compliance with Safety Procedures: Ensure that all instrument commissioning activities adhere to all applicable site and project safety procedures and practices.
  • Audit Instrument Activities: Conduct regular audits of site and project instrument activities to ensure compliance with project safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Monitor and Report Progress: Monitor and report instrument commissioning progress on a regular basis, ensuring that project milestones are met.
  • Approve Instrument System Completion: Approve all instrument system and sub-system mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning sign-off certificates and milestones.
  • Lead Project HAZID and Risk Assessments: Lead and attend project HAZID and risk assessments, ensuring that all necessary safety measures are in place.
  • Provide Input into Audit Reviews and Budget Management: Provide input into audit reviews and budget management, ensuring that project costs are controlled and managed effectively.
