Job Title: Instrument Technician

We are seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join our team at Oil and Gas Job Search Ltd. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of field instruments, including transmitters, control valves, and shutdown switches.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instrument Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance and calibration of field instruments, including transmitters, control valves, and shutdown switches.
  • Emergency Repairs: Perform emergency repairs and ad hoc checks, including disassembling, cleaning, replacing parts, and reassembling instruments.
  • Diagnostic Skills: Address repair work orders, diagnose faults, and replace or repair faulty components on PCBs.
  • Analyzer Maintenance: Perform daily checks and calibration of various analyzers, including H2S, O2, gas chromatographs, and pH meters.
  • Maintenance Schedules: Follow maintenance schedules for analyzers, including replacing calibration gases.
  • Safety Procedures: Adhere to safety procedures, isolate equipment before work, follow safety instructions, and use appropriate protective gear.
  • Collaboration: Assist Senior Technicians with fault diagnosis and maintenance on gas turbine control systems and ESD systems.
  • Education and Experience: Degree or 3-year Diploma/apprenticeship in the instrument/control trade, with 4-5 years of electronic instrumentation maintenance experience in oil and gas.

Requirements:

  • English Language: Excellent command of English, both written and oral.
  • Computer Applications: Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
