  • Sales:

  • Food Safety / Sanitation:
    • Clean and sanitize display cases, equipment, and surrounding areas, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and sanitation.
    • Comply with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring a safe and healthy shopping environment.
    • Comply with departmental SOPs and store operating procedures, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Additional Department-Specific Responsibilities:
    • Aguas:
      • Peel, cut, and chop fresh fruits and vegetables, preparing them for display and sale.
      • Prepare fresh specialty drinks and food products specific to the Aguas department.
    • Floral:
      • Design floral arrangements, providing a variety of fresh, quality products.
      • Design and execute merchandising programs, creating an attractive and inviting display.
      • Track seasonal records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
    • Market:
      • Cut, trim, and prepare meat for service meat counter and self-service counter.
      • Ensure proper product rotation and storage, maintaining a high level of freshness and quality.
      • Maintain coolers and freezers, ensuring a safe and healthy shopping environment.
      • Weigh, price, and package selections, maintaining accurate and efficient processing.
      • Operate power meat prep and process equipment, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
    • Produce:
      • Stock and rotate product to ensure freshness, maintaining a high level of quality and presentation.
      • Assist floral department when needed, providing support and assistance as required.
      • Communicate product knowledge to customers, explaining and providing samples as needed.
      • Cut, wrap, and price produce to be placed on sales floor, maintaining a high level of presentation and display.
      • Maintain signing program, ensuring accurate and up-to-date signage.
    • Seafood:
      • Knowledgeable about various fish and shellfish, maintaining a high level of product knowledge and expertise.
      • Weigh, price, and package selections, maintaining accurate and efficient processing.
      • Maintain coolers and freezers, ensuring a safe and healthy shopping environment.
      Requirements
      • Minimum age 18 (mandatory)
      • High school diploma (or equivalent)
      • Completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training
      • Computer systems knowledge (Telxon, ACR, label machine)

The Produce Representative will be required to:

  • Function in a fast-paced, retail environment, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Work with Customers, staying attentive to their needs and providing exceptional customer service.
