The Middle Office Reporting and Data Manager will lead the development and maintenance of advanced reporting capabilities, enhanced with AI, to support various functions within the Middle Office. This role requires close collaboration with digital and data teams to deliver efficient, scalable reporting solutions that streamline risk management processes and provide operational insights.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Data Management and Reporting**:

- Oversee and manage the Middle Office Reporting and Data Management Team, working closely with relevant departments to create high-quality data structures, reports, dashboards, and AI-driven analytics tools.
- Lead the design and implementation of a centralized data repository to serve as the primary source for reporting, optimizing workflows and reducing redundancies.
- **Collaboration and Interface Management**:

- Collaborate with Finance, Compliance, Legal, and other functional teams to ensure best practices in control, operational efficiency, and adherence to company policies.
- Partner with digital and technical teams to deliver reporting solutions that meet user requirements and adapt to changing needs.
- Support business continuity initiatives through strategies that enhance data access, accuracy, and resilience.
- **Project Leadership**:

- Act as the project manager for data-related initiatives, overseeing projects such as data lake implementation and advanced analytics tools development.
- Drive process improvements through system testing, fault diagnosis, and workflow enhancements, integrating feedback from various departments.
- Work closely with Middle Office leaders and trading desks to resolve data queries and maintain consistency in reporting.
- **Supervision and Development**:

- Plan, supervise, and coordinate all activities within the data management and reporting function to ensure alignment with team goals.
- Train and mentor team members to develop their skills and support the department’s objectives.
- **Budget and Performance Management**:

- Contribute to the budget planning process for the department and ensure adherence to approved budgets and work plans.
- Identify and address budget variances to support effective cost management and resource allocation.
- Set and track performance objectives, contributing to department achievements within broader performance frameworks.
- **Policy Implementation and Process Standardization**:

- Implement department policies, processes, and standards to align with organizational and industry standards.
- Ensure regulatory and policy compliance, maintaining consistency in data handling and reporting practices.
- **Innovation and Continuous Improvement**:

- Identify and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of reporting and data management.
- Continuously evaluate internal processes to find improvements aligned with best practices, implementing intelligent solutions for evolving challenges.
- **Reporting and Integrity**:

- Contribute to the preparation of progress reports for management, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
- Uphold high ethical standards, ensuring integrity and reliability in all data management and reporting activities.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or Finance. A Master’s degree or additional study in Data Sciences or Operational Research is preferred.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum 7 years in a trading environment, preferably in energy commodities or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of Middle Office functions, with experience in business systems analysis.
- Proficient in creating PowerBI reports and dashboards.
- Skilled in coding with Python, PowerBI, and other data analytics tools.
- Experience with AI-driven data analytics to support process optimization.
- Proven ability to deliver complex digital projects involving multiple stakeholders.

**Domain Knowledge**:

- Commodities trading knowledge, with an understanding of trading strategies, global markets, and how international events impact market dynamics.
- Risk management expertise, including familiarity with stress testing, VaR measurement, and credit analysis, particularly for trading operations.
- Financial acumen, including knowledge of hedging, forecasting, and economic analysis techniques.
