The Credit Portfolio Officer is a senior-level position responsible for leading activities including credit review, credit approvals and monitoring the portfolio to identify credit migration in coordination with the Risk Management team. The role will also support all MEA Governance and Regulatory submissions, presentations and data reports.

**Responsibilities**:

- Understand applicable credit policies, industry regulations and the requisite impact of those governance items to prospective new partners or product initiatives
- Establish and leverage cross-functional partnerships and network with key internal and external constituencies
- Utilize Statistical Analysis System (SAS) in a UNIX environment to perform risk, financial and data analyses including profiling, sampling, forecasting and new program due diligence
- Prepare risk management presentations for senior management that include analytics on expected portfolio performance and areas of potential risk and/or opportunity
- Coordinates special projects on behalf of WCR Corporate Credit Team
- Contribute to development of metrics/ analytics to support key organizational initiatives and ad hoc requests
- Lead crisis management data and portfolio information initiatives and ad hoc credit portfolio data requests
- Coordinates controls, staffing, organizational and reporting requirements within MEA risk team
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

**Qualifications**:

- Min. 6-10 years of experience in credit card risk management or equivalent training and experience preferably in the financial services industry
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize and prioritize
- Proven ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational and analytic skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and with time sensitive projects
- Ability to identify project goals and resources required to deliver them
- Proven experience in developing strong presentations with attention to detail and an ability to tailor the level of detail to intended audience
- An Entrepreneurial mindset with willingness to “roll up sleeves” and a strong work ethic, respecting confidentiality issues
- Ability to work as a team player and excel in the ability to identify and bring on partners to complete a given task
- High degree of drive, self-motivation, persistence and working business knowledge
