The Data and Analytics Office (DAO) was established to transform HSBC into a truly data-driven organisation by ensuring that every design decision has a built-in data consideration. As DAO we will provide leadership that enables data and analytics to be a key driver of our business strategy.

Working closely in partnership with senior stakeholders and delivery teams all over the world to connect the business processes, data, products, services, and technology that underpin customer value and financial success.

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Data Analytics Office, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets. The Head of Data, MENAT and Europe will play a pivotal role in supporting the DAO function.

In this role, you will:

- Drive buy-in, alignment and execution of the Group Data Strategy in MENAT and Europe
- Leading data transformation initiatives to improve end-to-end processes in the MENAT and Europe and to work with all respective GBGFs on data remediation and enhancement.
- Work with stakeholders to drive regulatory compliance in relation to data.
- Be accountable for leading the management of data risk and control implementation in the MENAT and Europe, operating as the most senior data expert.
- Act as a single point person to the MENAT and Europe Regulators, ensuring appropriate regulator engagement on all data matters.
- Collaborate with Group DAO and local Business on the design of products, services, process, and technology solutions to fulfil our customer’s wishes.
- Partner and collaborating with members of the Exco and management team including Chief Information Officer and Chief Operating Officer to maximise effectiveness.
- Build a community of data professionals and data enthusiasts across MENAT and Europe, to influence the outcomes for data governance, quality, and data related project initiatives.
Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

- Exceptional Executive senior stakeholder management experience
- Experience of managing and delivering large, £multi-million implementations and transformation
- Extensive experience dealing with regulators.
- Extensive knowledge of the HSBC data risk strategy.
- Specialist technical data knowledge is desirable
- Bachelor’s degree is a requirement to obtain a visa_
