Head of Internal Communication

The Head of Internal Communications supports the Senior Leadership with internal communication to keep Colleagues engaged and informed about business updates, achievements, and changes. This person will work closely with HR, Executive Committee members as well as PR & Corporate Communications to align on the messaging and overall internal communications strategy.
This Leader is an expert storyteller and writer, passionate about our brands, the themed entertainment industry, and Farah's ambition; and above all, a collaborative leader with a positive and professional approach.
STRATEGY:
Develop an annual internal communications strategy in line with business goals and priorities and in conjunction with HR and Corporate Communications teams.
Work with senior leadership to plan and execute strategies, programs, and content that inform and inspire Colleagues and reinforce our leadership in the industry and the region.
Monitor happenings, within the Miral group, and the industry, that may be of interest to Colleagues and identify the best ways to share updates and opportunities.
Consider overarching Miral message points (YAS Island Vision and Miral Experiences Ambition 5x5) and seek ways to make connections at all levels of communication.
Work with HR to ensure design, implementation & consistent promotion of a clear Employee Value Proposition.
STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT:
Create and foster productive relationships with clients and partners across the Miral group.
STORYTELLING:
Develop new and innovative communication methods to design compelling, unique, and creative campaigns which capture attention and advance business goals and cultural objectives.
Leverage internal stories, videos, updates, etc., through a variety of communication vehicles, channels, and tools to drive Colleague awareness, understanding and engagement.
IMPLEMENTATION:
Manage Internal Communication via our internal platforms, supporting business & HR teams on communicating a variety of messages including, but not limited to organizational news, achievements, announcements and appointments, etc.
Ensure organisational achievements, initiatives, projects are successfully communicated to colleagues and stakeholders.
Work with HR and Executive Office team to plan and organize Townhall meetings as well CEO sessions.
In coordination with the PR & Corporate Communications team, identify and pursue corporate awards and accolades for Miral Experiences that will distinguish and position the organization as an industry leader in operating and managing theme parks and attractions.
Develop talking points and scripts for Miral Experiences leadership team for internal and external meetings and presentations when required.
Partner with the PR & Corporate Communications team on effective internal communications in support of organizational development and to ensure consistent messaging.
Lead various projects, related to internal communication and culture initiatives and craft progress reports on various organization projects.
Ensure alignment and adherence with organizational quality assurance, governance policies, processes and standards and external legal and regulatory requirements.
Develop scalable systems to use data to measure effectiveness and strategically inform all communications plans.
**To be considered for this role, you will need to have**:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field
- 5-7 years of demonstrated experience in internal communication, culture development and managing employee engagement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to compose in varying voices and styles
- Able to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Thoughtful, creative, inquiring, dependable, positive, and optimistic
- A self-starter who is self-motivated to proactively advance work and act independently, and with mínimal supervision
- Highly organized, especially in project management '” can see an initiative through from concept to implementation with mínimal oversight
- Flexible and adaptable '” readily accepts new assignments, including those outside of primary scope of responsibility
- Exhibits professional courage '” able to respectfully question the status quo and propose solutions if there is a better way to communicate or complete a task
- Strong interpersonal skills and abilities to cultivate, maintain and expand peer relationships within and outside of the Miral group
