This position is responsible for supporting the Middle East communications team with the administration for employee engagement activities. This includes, but is not limited to, organising social, volunteering and community events and creating content to support these activities. A key part of this role will be coordinating the Emirati Network, playing a role in enhancing Emirati culture at AECOM. This role is ideal for a proactive and organized individual who is eager to make a meaningful impact through enhancing employee engagement and community building.
**Internal communications**
- Write and adapt copy in the appropriate style for varied internal purposes.
- Use content management systems to keep the MEA pages of AECOM’s intranet and internet up to date.
- Administrate all regional Viva Engage communities to keep memberships up to date and encourage its use.
- Design collateral to support employee engagement initiatives and/or event awareness.
- Write varied copy that supports corporate culture, such as news articles.
- Draft and schedule internal communication to support events and engagement activities.
- Provide administrative support for events and employee engagement initiatives. Support the Communications and Culture Manager with ideas to enhance corporate culture at AECOM.
**Emirati Community Network**
**Event Coordination**:
- Plan, organize, promote and execute social events, volunteering opportunities and community engagement
- Research and propose external networking events, conferences or workshops that offer industry insights and learning opportunities.
- Coordinate logistics for events, including venue booking, catering, transportation and materials.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful event delivery
**Viva Engage community management**:
- Oversee and manage the Emirati Network’s Viva Engage community page, ensuring a vibrant and active space for interaction.
- Regularly update the page with announcements, event information, and content that resonate with community members.
- Foster engagement by responding to queries, facilitating discussions, and maintaining a positive and inclusive environment.
- Monitor community activity to ensure a positive and inclusive environment.
**Budget management**:
- Manage the budget allocated to the Emirati Network Group.
- Track expenses and ensure financial accountability for all group activities.
- Prepare and submit regular budget reports for management.
**Reporting and administration**:
- Maintain accurate records of group activities, attendance, and budget expenditures.
- Prepare and present regular reports on the Network Group’s activities and impact to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all group activities.
**Qualifications**
- Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Events, Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience.
- Fluent in English with strong written skills.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- MS Office Suite experience (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage budgets.
- Familiarity with Viva Engage or similar community management platforms is a plus.
- Understanding of Emirati culture and a commitment to supporting the Emirati community within the organization.
