The purpose of this role is to assist the Senior Events Manager to develop, manage and oversee the implementation of Majid Al Futtaim events strategy and delivery activities in line with the Customer and Brand strategy.

**Planning and Leadership**
- Manages and supports with Holding’s yearly events calendar and budget, in coordination with the Sr Events Manager.
- Uphold and maintain a yearly events calendar across the business and coordinate with marketers and agencies on proposals, timelines and deliverables.
- Drafts event briefs and reviews proposals on all events he/she will lead on.
- Maintains relations with BU marketers, agencies and industry contacts.
- Work closely with the businesses’ marketing and communications teams to maintain consistency in events’ quality and standards.
- Thinks strategically to ensure events are executed to the highest standard, and remain aligned with our Brand objectives
- Is an advocate and champion of the Centre of Excellence for Events, and promotes to use and functionality of the COE-E in all his/her role
- Will be responsible for the planning and implementation of internal events with the Holding members and/or BU reps in the UAE and elsewhere, providing constant visibility to the Sr. Events Manager.
- Work with the Leadership Institute to seek innovative and cost-effective ways to enhance facility and services to improve the overall event experience for all guests.
- Review and promote documents within the Events Toolkit and ensure adherence by all parties throughout the event life cycle.

**Event Management**:

- Manage internal events held by MAF Holding and ensure agreed standards of excellence are met. Will also take the lead in supporting the BUs with their internal events.
- Organize events and logistics on local, regional and international levels, oversee all events participation’s, set up, collaterals, graphics, AV, content, giveaways, F&B, entertainment, and show production, working cross functionally with the Brand and Corp Coms teams.
- Support with requirements from the CEO’s office and overlook logistics, often at an ad hoc basis.
- Recommend enhancements and creative solutions for reoccurring events.
- Capture event assets such as photos, videos and Event Reports and share them on Mportal Event Section.
- Prepare event budgets breakdown and maintain adequate tracking of budgets for each event, and at all phases of the budget lifecycle, including but not limited to raising LPOs and following up on suppliers’ SOAs.
- Administer, capture and review event surveys, NPS scores and feedback from debrief notes
- May be required to travel internationally to manage non-UAE based events.
- Operates within a matrix structure that includes relationships across various functions.
- Coordinate suppliers, handling stakeholder queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly.
- Conduct post events evaluation and analysis, develop reports, debrief notes on all learnings and archive multimedia records of the events.
- Develop reports and measure success against company and departmental goals and KPIs.

**Personal Characteristics and Required Background**:
Skillset (job specific technical skills and behavioral competencies needed)
- 5+ year’s event experience; Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (and Arabic preferably) that enables effective and appropriate communication with people at all levels.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to expertly articulate the strategy behind the work.
- Proven ability to work autonomously although as part of a small team environment to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated capacity to make sound and timely decisions considering stakeholders and external factors.
- Highly organized with strong multitasking and process management skills
- Great attention to detail
- Work well under pressure, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of an event.
- Bright, energetic and professional attitude is vital.

Minimum Qualifications/education

Minimum Bachelor degree is required; a degree in marketing is preferred

Arabic speaking is a plus
