Our client is a holding based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with construction as its core business. It has worked extensively on studies to reduce the cost of construction on affordable housing for Ethiopia, using modern construction technologies in the country. As the company is significantly enlarging its scope of business and has secured an USD 8.5 billion contract to build new homes, the company is seeking to hire a highly experienced Chief Real Estate Officer (M/F/d), permanently based in Addis Ababa. The Chief Real Estate Officer (M/F/d) will lead the holding's real estate and plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's real estate strategy, overseeing its development projects, and ensuring the successful execution of all business objectives.

**Your duties and responsibilities will include**:

- Ensuring efficient project execution and timely delivery of real estate projects in Addis Ababa
- Overseeing and driving sales to support the achievement of revenue targets
- Identify potential real estate investment opportunities, conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments
- Develop and implement real estate strategies aligned with the group's objectives
- Oversee property acquisitions, leasing agreements, and property management activities
- Evaluate and manage real estate portfolios, analyzing market trends and assessing profitability
- Implement strategies to enhance the value of existing assets and drive maximum return on investment
- Oversee financial analysis and modeling for real estate investments, ensuring accurate forecasting and performance measurements
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance with regulations and financial viability
- Represent the company in negotiations and foster positive external relationships to advance real estate opportunities
- Stay updated on real estate market conditions, property laws, and emerging market trends

**To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experiences**:

- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven track record of at least 10 years in senior-level real estate management, with a focus on strategic planning, development as well as sales and marketing
- Working experience in Africa would be an added value
- Extensive knowledge of real estate markets, industry trends, and regulatory frameworks in Ethiopia
- Professional certifications such as CPM are a plus
- Strong financial acumen with experience in financial analysis, modeling, and budget management
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong business acumen and commercial awareness, with a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and profitability
- Excellent communications skills and cultural awareness
- Willingness to be permanently based in Addis Ababa
