The primary responsibility of this role is to provide professional and seamless support to the UAE CEO Executive office, ensuring outstanding quality of work, day-to-day activities are efficient and work between other departments and functions are cohesive.

The role holder will manage a range of business support activity and UAE wide operations, working closely with the Deputy CEO & CEO. This role will be vitally important in helping to drive strategic & culture change across the UAE business.

This role will support DCEO objectives & activity, ad-hoc project assignment; strategy and planning, as well as managing key internal and external partners and suppliers.

Tasks are often highly sensitive, complex and confidential in nature. The role holder will be required to operate with clarity of thought and produce work of high quality. Principle areas of responsibility and support will include:

- **Country Governance**: Fulfilling the secretariat function for both UAE EXCO and ADGM EXCO, supporting the provision of timely information for papers, follow up on actions and delivery dates and production of high quality minutes. Coordinating CEO office actions required following other country governance forums including ALCO, RMM and regional governance.
- **External Engagements**: Support high quality meetings with regulators, external bodies (such as the UBF), visiting Group executives and
- **Project co-ordination**: Support DCEO in coordination of Programme of activities driving the UAE growth and risk agenda
- **Cost Centre Management**: Manage UAE CEO cost center, budgets and Assurenet activities for the CEO office

**Key Accountabilities in this role**:

- To provide excellent support to the DCEO by ensuring the smooth running of the CEO Office and managing the work environment
- Support the DCEO to lead and run the entity across the region.
- Ensure smooth running of the CEO office, including oversight and proactive management of upcoming meetings with Senior Management.
- Project management of ad-hoc projects aligned to UAE Country strategic priorities, ensure that a project is completed on time and within budget and that the project's objectives are met.
- Regular liaison with UAE CEO direct reports to ensure that projects are on track and that deadlines are met
- Organise meetings, conferences, workshops and other business related events. Building solid relationships with suppliers to ensure events are always of a high standard and cost effective
- Diary management, booking flights and hotels, arranging complex itineraries and managing agendas for incoming visitors, ensuring cost effectiveness at all times
- Deal with correspondence and queries in the Executive’s absence, taking decisions on behalf of the Executive when appropriate
- Continuous improvement of our processes and systems to increase efficiency that can be achieved to improve work quality.
- Take meeting minutes and ensuring the smooth running of weekly & monthly meetings and the UAE EXCO and ADGM EXCO
- Monitor approvals and cost center expenses ensuring records are maintained for audit purposes
- Supports a range of priorities across the region, framing and guiding on key strategic decisions and handling the day to day tactical issues.
- Ensure compliance with Group policies and regulatory requirements
- Ensure all customer complaints are addressed in a timely manner. Communicating with customers where required and assist with the management of complaints.
- Fast moving, competitive and heavily regulated external Banking market
- Internally the role will touch all brands and channels across Global businesses and functions.
- This role requires considerable flexibility and adaptability by the job holder
- Success in the role will be underpinned by excellent relationships across UAE & Regional businesses and functions.
- Accurate assessment of ‘internal’ customer needs, manage expectations and deliver to them, ensure complaints/enquiries from customers are dealt with effectively and in line with policy/customer experience expectations
- Support in the development of internal/external communications
- Work effectively with the UAE EXCO leadership teams to ensure timely and accurate submissions for Governance.
- Continuously reassess the operational risks associated with the role
- Adhere to internal controls, procedures and policies

Requirements

**To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements**:

- 8-10 years work experience in a variety of roles.
- Graduate degree is a must to obtain UAE work visa.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- A strong, positive attitude with the ability to work on own iniative and under pressure
- Excellent ability to build relationships and influence leadership. A
