**Role Purpose**:
The Private Label Brand Manager is fully responsible and accountable for the Private Label range and performance of a group of categories. His/her responsibility also includes the adaptation of the Company/Department and Section strategy to his/her designated categories.

The Private Label Brand Manager is expected to propose and develop new Private Label products (including but not limited to sourcing potential suppliers, negotiating best purchase conditions, packaging development ), optimize all financial KPIs and the follow up of the existing range.

**Role Details - Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
**Private Label Product Development**
- Stay abreast of market trends and innovation to elaborate action plans, maintain Private Label brand’s strategy and develop Private Labels Range answering Customer Demand.
- Ensure Private Label items meets local sales targets and profit goals
- Support the respect of deadlines during Private Label development process by coordinating with Suppliers and Quality team to secure item planned launch dates
- Ensure the proper integration of the Private Label items within the merchandise department strategy
- Prioritize development plan in coordination with Merchandising team and Sales Development team to maximise resources, and sales potential
- Source, develop, negotiate, launch Private Label products aligned with development plans in a timely manner

**Launch and After Launch follow up**
- Follow-up on the manufacturing and launch of new private label products in the stores
- Ensure the stock availability for relevant Private Label products including promotions by coordinating with Merchandise Team, Replenishment and suppliers
- Coordinate and optimize development of packaging for relevant policies and procedures
- Ensures proper communication on the product launch and ensures the range is available on all platforms (Internal & External - Online & Offline), ideally through innovative / out of the box thinking

**Tender and Negotiation**
- Engage in sourcing the best quality products for competitive prices aligned with the organizations objectives
- Manage the issuances of tenders and RFQs in coordination with the relevant functions in MAF Retail

**Quality Control**
- Ensures regular product performance review and propose action plans if necessary

**Coordination with Internal Stakeholders**
- Coordinate with Merchandise teams the Private Label development plans
- Support Merchandise teams with their category strategy definitions
- Ensure the marketing of Private Label items in coordination with Marketing and Sales Development
- Provide support to improve logistic flows, marketing and product display

**Policies and Procedures**
- Oversee the development and implementation of relevant policies and procedures
- Develop and implement a procedure for record keeping to support the organizations goals
- Ensure Private Label items are in compliance with policies relate to MAF Retail, Private Label and regulation

**Human Capital Responsibilities**
- Assist with the implementation of the performance management process by setting objectives, monitoring performance, and provide constructive feedback and provide inputs to senior management
- Ensure the implementation of MAF Retail’s corporate policies and relevant procedures

**Financial Responsibilities**
- Ensure alignment of procedures in accordance with the Delegation of Authority (DOA)
- Assist in monitoring allocated budget to ensure compliance and highlight possible issues
- Provide inputs on the preparation of budget when necessary
- Provide inputs on cost reduction measures

**Definition of Success
- Private Label range launched
- Private Label Gross sales & Total Commercial Margin
- Private Label Target Market Share achievement
- Private Label On Shelf Availability
- Private Label brand compliance to relevant policies and regulations
- Coordination and communication with internal stakeholders

**Functional/Technical Competencies**
- Excellent English skills (Speaking, Reading and Writing)
- Arabic is a plus
- Advanced computer Skills (Microsoft Office)
