Sous Chef

We are looking for a passionate and experienced **Sous Chef** to join our kitchen team If you have a strong culinary background, leadership skills, and a desire to deliver exceptional food quality, we want to hear from you.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Kitchen Operations**:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing the overall kitchen operations.
- Ensure the timely preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's standards.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating in all sections of the kitchen.
- **Team Management**:
- Supervise and guide kitchen staff, ensuring efficiency and a positive work environment.
- Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen team members to achieve excellence.
- Allocate tasks and oversee shift schedules to ensure smooth operations.
- **Menu Planning and Food Quality**:
- Assist in menu development, including creating new recipes and improving existing ones.
- Monitor food quality, ensuring consistency in taste, portion sizes, and presentation.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to implement seasonal or promotional menus.
- **Inventory and Cost Control**:
- Monitor food stock levels and coordinate orders with suppliers to maintain adequate inventory.
- Control food costs by minimizing waste and optimizing portion control.
- Ensure accurate recording of daily production and consumption.
- **Hygiene and Safety Compliance**:
- Enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring all kitchen operations comply with HACCP standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure kitchen equipment is in good working condition.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:
- Work closely with the Head Chef, management, and service teams to ensure seamless coordination.
- Address any issues in the kitchen promptly to avoid disruption.
- Contribute to team meetings and operational discussions.
**Qualifications and Skills**
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Creativity and passion for delivering exceptional dishes.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of inventory management and cost control.
Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
