**Job brief**

**Responsibilities**
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Hiring, training and mentor the culinary staff, ensuring food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Lead the culinary team in planning, organizing, and executing daily food preparation for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, focusing on Sattvic cuisine.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain high standards of quality
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including ordering, inventory control, and adherence to budget guidelines.
- Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
- Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
- Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
- Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
- Recruit and manage kitchen staff
- Rectify arising problems or complaints
- Give prepared plates the “final touch”
- Perform administrative duties
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Manage time and payroll records
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

**Requirements and skills**
- Proven working experience as a Head Chef
- Excellent record of kitchen management
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Capable of delegating multiple tasks
- Communication and leadership skills
- Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a vegetarian or vegan restaurant, specializing in Sattvic cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of Sattvic culinary principles, preparation methods, and traditional Indian flavors.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining culinary standards.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
- BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
