Job Title: Assistant Animal Trainer

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

**Salary**: Up to 3,500 AED per month

**Job Description**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Assist senior animal trainers in the care and training of a variety of animal species, including mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians.
- Participate in the daily feeding, grooming, and exercise routines for animals, ensuring their health and well-being.
- Assist in the development and implementation of training programs designed to enhance the animals physical abilities, mental stimulation, and socialization skills.
- Use positive reinforcement techniques to teach animals new behaviors and commands, following established training protocols and safety guidelines.
- Monitor animals behavior and responses during training sessions, providing feedback to senior trainers and adjusting techniques as needed.
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of animal shows, demonstrations, and educational programs for visitors.
- Educate visitors about the natural history, behavior, and conservation efforts related to the animals in our care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in animal enclosures, training areas, and support facilities, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Handle and restrain animals safely and securely during training sessions, veterinary procedures, and public interactions.
- Assist with the transportation of animals to and from off-site locations for exhibits, events, or medical care.
- Collaborate with other animal care staff, veterinarians, and conservation experts to ensure the highest standards of animal welfare and husbandry are maintained.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to expand knowledge and skills in animal training and behavior management.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with animals in a zoo, aquarium, wildlife park, or similar setting is preferred but not required.
- Genuine passion for animal welfare and conservation, with a desire to make a positive impact through education and training.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established training protocols and safety procedures.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the needs of the animals and facility.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
