Bookkeeper/accounts Assistant

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Process all incoming vendor invoices and ensure accurate entry into QuickBooks.
- Manage and reconcile petty cash transactions.
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers.
- Verify payment terms and ensure payments are made within agreed timelines.
- Monitor and track accounts payable aging to ensure timely payments.
- Prepare payment reports for management review.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Assist with month-end reconciliation of accounts payable.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to invoices or payments.
- Provide support to the accounts team in various financial tasks and assist with general bookkeeping duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in accounts payable or bookkeeping, preferably in a manufacturing or factory setting.
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (online and desktop versions).
- Experience managing petty cash and handling cash transactions.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with vendors and internal teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- A basic understanding of accounting principles is a plus.
