*Position Summary:*

The Bookkeeper will manage the restaurant's financial records, including daily transaction, accounts payable and receivable, and financial reporting. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the restaurant's financial information, enabling effective decision-making and compliance with financial regulations.

*Key Responsibilities:*

1. *Daily Financial Transactions:*
- Record and reconcile daily sales, expenses, and other transactions.
- Verify and process invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Manage cash deposits and ensure accuracy in cash handling procedures.

2. *Accounts Payable and Receivable:*
- Track and process accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensure timely payment of invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers regarding billing and payments.

3. *Financial Reporting:*
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Generate reports on sales, costs, profits, and other key financial metrics.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.

4. *Bank Reconciliation:*
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow tracking.
- Resolve discrepancies promptly.

5. *Compliance and Record Keeping:*
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation.

*Qualifications:*
- *Education:* Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- *Experience:* Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
