- **Customs Compliance**: Ensure adherence to customs regulations and procedures for export shipments. Coordinate with customs brokers to facilitate customs clearance and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- **Cargo Tracking**: Monitor and track the status of export shipments from origin to destination, providing regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders. Proactively address any delays or disruptions to minimise impact on delivery schedules.
- **Rate Negotiation**: Negotiate competitive rates with ocean carriers and service providers to optimise freight costs while maintaining service quality and reliability.
- **Customer Service**: Serve as the primary point of contact for export customers, addressing inquiries, providing shipment status updates, and resolving any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- **Compliance and Risk Management**: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with export operations, including regulatory compliance, security, and transportation challenges.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the export operations function. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.
