Import Operations:
Manage the end-to-end process of ocean import operations, including booking, documentation, customs clearance, and delivery arrangements.

Ensure compliance with all relevant import regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.

Oversee the resolution of any issues or delays in the import process, working closely with internal teams, vendors, and customs authorities to find solutions.

Vendor Relations:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with ocean carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other service providers.

Negotiate rates and service agreements to optimize cost-effectiveness and service quality.

Customer Service:
Serve as the primary point of contact for import-related inquiries and concerns from clients, providing timely and accurate information and resolving issues to their satisfaction.

Proactively communicate with customers regarding shipment status updates, delays, and any other relevant information.

Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and streamline import processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Identify opportunities for automation and technology integration to improve operational effectiveness.

Compliance and Risk Management:
Stay informed about changes in import regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance requirements.

Ensure that all import activities adhere to applicable laws and regulations, mitigating risks of penalties or non-compliance.
