Position: Excursion Manager

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Excursion Planning &Coordination:
    • Designand develop a variety of tourism packages and excursions cateringto different customer interests (e.g. adventure culture luxurynature).
    • Conduct thorough research onpotential excursion locations activities and cultural events withinthe UAE.
  • Supplier& Vendor Management:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with local supplierstour guides transportation services and otherstakeholders.
    • Negotiate contracts and serviceagreements ensuring competitive pricing quality service andadherence to safety standards.
    • Evaluate andmonitor supplier performance regularly.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and manage a team of tour guides andexcursion staff providing them with training performanceevaluations and support.
    • Ensure all teammembers have comprehensive knowledge of the excursions customerservice practices and safety protocols.
  • CustomerExperience:
    • Overseecustomer feedback and ensure any concerns or issues are addressedpromptly and effectively.
    • Tailor experiencesfor different customer segments ensuring satisfaction and repeatbusiness.
  • Safety andCompliance:
    • Ensureall excursions comply with local regulations safety standards andenvironmental guidelines.
    • Ensure regularsafety audits and risk assessments of excursion locations andactivities.
    • Ensure that all necessary licensespermits and insurance coverage are in place forexcursions.
  • Budgeting &Reporting:
    • Prepareand manage budgets for excursions ensuring profitability andcosteffectiveness.
    • Report on excursionperformance and recommend improvements to seniormanagement.
  • Marketing &Promotion:
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote excursionsthrough various channels (e.g. online platforms brochures travelagencies).
    • Stay updated on tourism trends tosuggest new excursion packages that cater to evolving customerpreferences.

Qualifications &Skills:

  • Education: Bachelors degreein Tourism Management Hospitality Business Administration or arelated field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5years of experience in the travel and tourism industry with atleast 2 years in a management role.
    • Proven experience in organizing and managingexcursions or tour operations in the UAE or a similarmarket.
      • Skills:
        • Strong leadership communication andinterpersonal skills.
          • Indepth knowledge of the UAEs tourism landscapeincluding popular destinations activities and culturallandmarks.
            • Proficiency inMicrosoft Office Suite and excursion managementsoftware.
              • Strongproblemsolving and conflict resolutionabilities.
                • Fluency inEnglish (Arabic is a plus).
