We are seeking a proactive and analytical Revenue Manager to lead our revenue strategies and drive
profitability across all destinations. The role is focused on yielding, pricing, and monitoring performance
metrics, ensuring we achieve and exceed revenue targets.

The ideal candidate for the Revenue Manager role is a highly analytical and tech-savvy professional with a proven track record in yielding and revenue management, particularly in the travel, tourism, or hospitality sectors.They are results-driven, possess a strong IT/data analytics background, and excel at interpreting complex data to identify trends, solve problems, and maximize profitability. The candidate must thrive in a fast-paced
environment, demonstrate exceptional communication and collaboration skills, and have a deep understanding of the UAE's tourism market.

The role will support in the development and implementation yield strategies, serving as a primary liaison between Executive Leadership, Contracting and Commercial across all Desert Gate destinations. The role is responsible for data analysis and the development of revenue strategies in accordance with the revenue strategy/strategic plan and annual operating plan for Desert Gate.

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Revenue Optimization & Yielding

  • Implement effective yielding strategies to maximize revenue across multiple segments.
  • Develop and execute dynamic pricing strategies that optimize revenue streams and reflect market demand.
  • Analyze and interpret performance trends of clients, properties, and market behavior to identify opportunities for optimization and revenue growth in line with strategic objectives.
  • Establish and manage hotel markup strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of flash sales, making data-driven adjustments to enhance results.

Rates Comparison & Market Analysis

  • Conduct regular competitor rate comparisons to ensure pricing remains competitive and aligned with market trends.
  • Conduct market research to support analysis and centralized revenue management decisions.
  • Provide detailed analysis of market conditions, booking patterns, and pricing dynamics to guide revenue strategies.

Hotel Targets & Performance Monitoring

  • Set and track hotel-specific revenue targets, ensuring performance aligns with company objectives.
  • Analyze and report on hotel target reach percentages, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Achieve or surpass budgeted revenue and margin targets.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment on revenue and promotional strategies.
  • Train and support team members to adopt best practices in revenue management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with hotel partners, ensuring mutual success and alignment of goals.
  • Assist in the coordination of the rollout of the calculation tool to all destinations.
  • Provide support as required in the annual budgeting process.

Reporting & Data Insights

  • Prepare detailed reports on revenue performance, yielding strategies, and market trends for senior management.
  • Leverage revenue management tools and systems to generate actionable insights and drive decision-making.
  • Provide analytical support to the Product Team, including proactive summaries and timely responses to ad-hoc data analysis requests.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Analyst and Business Intelligence team to implement and optimize reporting tools needed for Yield & Revenue management.
  • Analyze and report on product quality, including aspects such as Early Bookings, Non-Refundable, Cancellation Policies, etc.

Technology & Innovation

  • Utilize revenue management software and analytics tools to optimize pricing and inventory strategies.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements and industry best practices to maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Tourism, Economics, or a related field.
  • Master's degree is an advantage.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Industry Experience: A minimum of 5 years in yield and revenue management, preferably within a Destination Management Company (DMC) or the tourism and hospitality sectors.
  • Technical Acumen: Proven ability to utilize revenue management systems, advanced Excel functions, and reporting tools like Power BI to optimize pricing and inventory strategies.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Experience in diagnosing and addressing sales and revenue challenges, such as underperforming flash sales or low markups during high-demand periods.
  • Specialist Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the UAE tourism market, customer behavior, and global travel trends.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong aptitude for data analysis, interpreting complex reports, and deriving actionable insights.
  • IT Proficiency: Robust understanding of IT systems and tools to extract and analyze sales data effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey findings and collaborate with teams and stakeholders. Proficiency in English is essential.
