Job Title:
Accounts Assistant

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Process invoices, expense claims, and payment requests accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and issue invoices to customers, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

General Ledger Maintenance:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and uptodate accounting records.
  • Post journal entries and reconcile accounts as needed.
  • Support monthend and yearend closing processes.

Bank Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile bank statements with internal records to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues identified during reconciliation.

Financial Reporting:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Provide support for budgeting and forecasting processes.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant accounting standards.
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation for audit and regulatory purposes.

Assistance to Finance Team:

  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
  • Assist with adhoc financial projects and analysis as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience (13 years) in an accounting role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) and MS Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and regulations.
