In this role you will work both independently and in a multiple person team to deliver a first class home or business delivery service.

We expect our customers to receive a positive customer experience each and every time. You will always strive to exceed the customer expectations building on an already established and respected relationship.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interacting with customers daily and upholding the high standards of the organization.
  • Loading furniture onto and from the vehicle
  • Driving the deliveries to the site / customer homes etc.
  • Installing, assembling and demonstrating the furniture
  • Organizing access to the site i.e. lift/ stairs etc.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction
  • You may be required to work flexible hours, depending on customer demand
  • Meet and where possible exceed customer expectations in the delivery and installation of their furniture.
  • Construct furniture items onsite or in customer's homes as per our customer contract guidelines, removing waste packaging and returning it to the for appropriate waste disposal.
  • Ensure first class customer service is experienced at all times.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed and returned accurately at the end of each journey.
  • Report any discrepancies to the Manager as soon as they are identified.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Outstanding communication skills targeted at handling customers face to face and over the phone.
  • Exceptional time management, working to tight deadlines.
  • Previous experience in assembling flat pack furniture.
  • Capability of working well under pressure.
  • Proven ability to exhibit great attention to detail.
  • A great team player.
  • Experience assembling furniture and fitting it OR a basic level of carpentry/DIY skills
  • Devoted to exceeding customer expectations in areas of customer service, fitting and assembly
  • Flexible as the role requires some evening work or early starts
  • Possess a passion for delivering customer satisfaction, positive attitude and willing to go the extra mile in order to give our customers a memorable experience
  • Excellent verbal communication
  • Ability to safely lift heavy objects
  • A manual driving license as driving will be an essential part of this role (3ton truck)
  • Age requirement: years old
Due to the nature of the work heavy lifting is required. This includes safely carrying and assembling furniture. It is therefore essential that the successful applicant is capable to carry out this nature of work.
