International Community SchoolsAbu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Manager ofInclusion to join our dynamic team. This role involves ensuringthat students of all abilities including those with specialeducational needs (SEN) and gifted and talented students(G&T) are provided with an accessible nurturing andequitable learning environment. The Manager of Inclusion willoversee the development of individualized education plans (IEPs)manage the school s inclusion team and collaborate closely withteachers parents and external agencies to create a holistic andinclusive school culture.

KeyResponsibilities:

1.Inclusive EducationLeadership:

Leadthe development and implementation of the school s inclusion policyin alignment with ADEK (Abu Dhabi Department of Education andKnowledge) guidelines and international bestpractices.
Set and uphold highstandards for inclusion ensuring students with a wide range oflearning emotional physical and behavioral needs aresupported.
Establish and lead anInclusion Support Team providing strategic direction andoperational leadership in the school s inclusionprograms.
Create a shared visionfor inclusion across the school fostering an inclusive ethos amongstaff students and the schoolcommunity.

2.Assessment and Identification ofNeeds:
Oversee theprocess of identifying students with SEN including conductingformal and informal assessments in coordination with teachers andspecialists.
Manage thedevelopment and regular review of Individualized Education Plans(IEPs) for students with SEN ensuring that these plans areeffectively implemented and regularlyupdated.
Coordinate witheducational psychologists therapists and other external specialiststo diagnose and provide support for students with specific learningdifficulties (SLD) physical disabilities or behavioralchallenges.

3.Intervention and SupportPlanning:
Design andimplement effective intervention strategies that cater to thediverse learning needs of students ensuring appropriateaccommodation and modifications are made in thecurriculum.
Monitor theeffectiveness of interventions and provide ongoing feedback toteachers to ensure studentprogress.
Develop specificstrategies for differentiating instruction in the classroomequipping teachers with the necessary tools to deliver personalizedlearningexperiences.

4.Teacher Support and ProfessionalDevelopment:
Leadprofessional development programs for teachers and support staff toenhance their understanding of inclusive practices differentiationtechniques and behaviormanagement.
Work closely withteachers in all subject areas to ensure they are implementinginclusive practices that cater to the needs of allstudents.
Provide coachingmentoring and guidance to classroom teachers special educationteachers and teaching assistants on best practices ininclusion.

5.Parental and CommunityEngagement:
Developstrong partnerships with parents involving them actively in theeducational process of theirchildren.
Organize regularmeetings and workshops for parents to provide guidance onsupporting their children with SEN or other additional needs athome.
Build relationships withexternal agencies including health professionals local communitygroups and government bodies to enhance the support networkavailable tostudents.

6.Compliance and RegulatoryResponsibilities:
Ensurethat the school s inclusion policies are fully compliant with theADEK Inclusion Framework and other relevant UAEregulations.
Maintain uptodate andaccurate records of all students receiving inclusion supportensuring confidentiality and adherence to school policy and UAElaw.
Prepare detailed reports onthe progress of inclusion initiatives presenting to the schoolleadership team ADEK inspectors and other stakeholders asrequired.

7.Monitoring Evaluation andReporting:
Continuouslymonitor student progress and the effectiveness of inclusivepractices through data analysis classroom observations and teacherfeedback.

Utilizedata to make informed decisions and adjust support plans asnecessary to improve studentoutcomes.
Prepare and presentreports for the senior leadership team and parents showcasingstudent progress intervention outcomes and areas for furtherdevelopment.

Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Special Education Educational Psychology or a relatedfield. A Master s Degree in Educational Leadership or SpecialEducation is preferred.

  • Professionalqualification or certification in SEN/Inclusion (e.g. NationalAward for SEN Coordination Certificate in Inclusive Education orequivalent).
Experience:

  • Atleast 5 years of experience working in an inclusive educationsetting with a minimum of 3 years in a leadershiprole.
  • Demonstrableexperience working with students who have a wide range of learningneeds including SEN G&T and behavioral challenges in aninternational or UAE schoolcontext.
  • Previousexperience working in the UAE or GCC is highly desirable with anunderstanding of ADEK or KHDA (Knowledge and Human DevelopmentAuthority)frameworks.
