A Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, establishing relationships with potential clients, and managing existing accounts. The BDM plays a key role in expanding the company's market presence and increasing revenue through strategic planning, sales efforts, and partnership development.
Key Responsibilities: Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities:- Research and analyze market trends to identify potential business opportunities and new markets.
- Generate leads and initiate contact with potential clients through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
- Qualify prospects and assess their needs to recommend suitable products or services.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
- Conduct meetings and presentations to understand client needs, offer solutions, and close sales.
- Manage existing accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with clients to close business deals.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, product development) to ensure alignment with client needs and expectations.
- Conduct market research to stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences.
- Use insights to adjust sales strategies and offer tailored solutions to clients.
- Track and report on sales performance, pipeline status, and market trends.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on business development activities and outcomes.
- Develop and refine business development strategies based on data and market conditions.
- Work closely with other departments (marketing, sales, customer service, etc.) to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.
- Collaborate with marketing teams on lead generation efforts and promotional campaigns.
- Lead or assist in team initiatives and sales training as necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (Masters degree is a plus).
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of market research, sales strategies, and customer relationship management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Valid UAE driving license.
