JobDescription

 

As anExecutive Chef you are responsible for the smooth operation of theentire kitchen operation food production and all other relatedsections and your role will include key responsibilities suchas: 

  • Developing unique andcuisineappropriate menus.
  • Collaborating withthe Food & Beverage Manager to set itemprices.
  • Staying current on developing trends inthe hospitality industry. 
  • Monitoringinventory and purchasing supplies and food from approvedvendors
  • To coordinate an effective andefficient Payroll Management / Resource allocation by establishinga flexible work force throughout the Division based on theprinciples of multiskilling andmultitasking.
  • Assisting and directing kitchenstaff in meal preparation creation plating anddelivery.
  • To establish implement and controlperformance standards for the Stewarding in Kitchen and Food& Beverage to achieve the highest possible hygienestandards minimize operating Equipment breakage streamline andefficient resource and equipment flows.
  • Ensuresthat health hygiene and safety regulations are complied with andapplied in the department in compliance with HACCP standards andprocedures.
  • Identifying and introducing newculinary techniques.
  • Preparing meals andcompleting prep support asneeded. 

Qualifications:

  • You should havea professional kitchen apprenticeship or chefs training course andat least 7 years experiences in quality establishments in a similarrole.
  • The ability to communicate well inEnglish and a proven track of food preparation presentation andpreservation knowledge is an essential.
  • Youwill need a strong knowledge of the HACCP management system andadministration work.
  • Any prior experience withFuturelog & food waste management system would helpfacilitate a smooth transition into therole.
  • Bachelors Degree and/or Hotel Managementdegree
  • Excellent written and verbalcommunicationskills
